Established in the year 1970 under the Haryana and Punjab Agricultural Universities Act 1970, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU) is a state university approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The campus of the varsity is built over an area of 6084 square feets. There are 404 faculty members at CCSHAU Hisar. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses. The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) programme offered by the varsity is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Whereas, agriculture stream courses are approved by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
