Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, was the fourth IIM to be established. It was established in the year 1984. The institute has been conferred as an 'Institute of National Importance.' The campus of IIM Lucknow is spread over an area of 200 acres and has a total of 95 faculty members. In 2021, IIM Lucknow has been ranked 7th in NIRF management ranking whereas, the institute was ranked 4th in NIRF management ranking 2020. As per the official website of IIM Lucknow, its mission is to is to improve management systems with regard to business, industry and public services through pursuit of excellence in management education, research, consultancy and training.
IIM Lucknow offers a total of 7 programmes in the postgraduate and doctoral levels of study. Admission to courses are offered are done based on candidates score in entrance exam such as CAT, GRE, GMAT, XAT etc. The Association of MBAs (AMBA) has accredited International Programme in Management for Executives and M.B.A. for Working Executive of the college. IIM Lucknow has also partnered with a range of domestic and international educational institutions to facilitate student exchange programmes and experiential learning from the global outlook.
The institute is located in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, popularly known as the seat of “Tehzeeb”. The campus is located in the outskirts of the city, approximately 17 km away from Charbagh Railway Station. Students and visitors can hire a cab or auto-rickshaw and easily reach the campus in 30 to 45 minutes. Lucknow’s international airport, Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport is located at a distance of 26 km from the campus, and it takes approximately 45 mins of road travel to reach the campus from the airport.
IIM Lucknow has a dedicated medi-care centre with physicians working round the clock. There are in-house medical officers and collaborations with a network of hospitals to provide the best treatment. The campus also houses a dispensary.
