Established in 1981, International Management Institute (IMI) is India's first corporate-sponsored Business School with its first campus in New Delhi. The corporate sponsors of IMI Delhi are RPG Enterprises (lead sponsor), ITC, Nestle, Tata Chemicals, British Oxygen, SAIL, and Williamson Magor. It was established in partnership with the IMI Genevanow, presently known as IMD Lausanne, with a vision to be a leading international management school. There are total three campuses of IMI located in India. The other two campuses are located (established) in Kolkata (2010) and Bhubaneswar (2011).
The Institute currently offers the PGDM Programs, Doctoral/FPM Programs, Executive Programs. It also provides corporate training for management professionals. The Institute provides management training to foreign nationals from developing countries under the Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
The Institute was ranked 28th position in top B-School ranking by NIRF, 2020 under the Management category. IMI Delhi is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is a member of the Association of the Indian Universities (AIU). It is accredited by the UK-based Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
For the year 2021 placement statistics, 396 students were placed where the Highest CTC offered is Rs 29.75 LPA and Average CTC offered is 12.77 LPA. Around 35% of students are placed in the IT/ITES sector, followed by BFSI/Fintech (27%), Consulting/Analytics (27%), and FMCG (11%) sectors.
IMI New Delhi has global connections with leading institutes in Europe, North America, and Asia. Its faculty have PhDs from top international and national universities/institutes, with many of them also having significant corporate experience.
