Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tirupati was established in 1954. The university is spread over 1000 acres of land. SVU Tirupati was founded by Late Sri Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu. It is a state university located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The university was started with six departments of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Economics and Philosophy. SVU Tirupati is affiliated to the UGC and is accredited by NAAC with an “A+” grade. In the overall category of the NIRF ranking of Sri Venkateswara University is 68th in the year 2020.
