Description

Senior project administrators (general) are responsible for developing and maintaining project plans and ensuring these projects successfully reach completion. They are also responsible for documenting departmental budgets, as well as conducting forecasting for new and existing projects as needed. In some cases, senior project administrators are also in charge of calculating project metrics; these metrics may include (among others) quality assurance (QA) compliance, level of effort (LOE), technical performance measures, and cost variances from a project's plan.This position mainly takes place indoors in an office setting during regular business hours, but it may require some evenings, overnights, and weekends if specific projects require it. The senior project administrator is regularly in contact with high-level executives to discuss project progress and works in close collaboration with his or her team members on a daily basis.At least a bachelor’s degree is required for this position, preferably in an business or technical field; a master of business administration (MBA) may be preferred. Previous experience in a related role is typically needed as well.
