Medical assistants who are certified (CMAs) are responsible for duties and responsibilities that relate to the care of patients in a clinical setting. The CMA manages the inventory of equipment for rooms for examination and procedures as well as assists in the management of the flow of patients, and also organizes the environment of the clinic to ensure the safety of patients. They also are responsible for cleaning the supplies.
