A human resources advisor is a member of a company’s human resources team who focuses primarily on personnel and staffing issues. For employees, a human resources advisor will often act as a mediator, managing conflict between employees or between employees and the organization; they also serve as a coach or advisor, educating employees about various policies. For management, a human resources advisor keeps the management team updated on performance and relations issues, reports trends in employee attitudes and behaviors, passes on policies and procedures to employees, and advises management on meeting staffing needs. A human resources advisor typically works a standard 40-hour work week in an office setting. As a member of a human resources team, they spend a great deal of time interacting with other personnel at their company, meeting with employees, updating and informing management, and meeting with other human resources team members to analyze and develop various policies and programs.A bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, business, or a related field is often required.   • Assist in employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including orientation and exit interviews. Coordinate new employee orientation programs and conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement.
