Agile coaches are corporate trainers who interact with employees on-site to ensure the most effective execution of corporate standards. This position primarily involves indoor work and is fit for those with extraordinary social skills and the ability to boost morale.

There are three varieties of coaches with more defined subsets of expertise: technical coaches work with developers and should be familiar with coding and integration; process/management coaches provide guidance in leadership and implementation; and non-directive coaches provide individualized help for people trying to solve various private problems.

This position is often temporary, though some companies choose to hire resident agile coaches while most in this position leave a team after significant progress has been made. Agile coaches generally hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and work for a few years as a scrum master or equivalent. As an Agile Coach with 6-9 years of experience in Singapore, your main responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating Agile training sessions and workshops to educate teams on Agile methodologies and practices. Conduct interactive training sessions to enhance teams' understanding of Agile principles and frameworks.
  • Providing guidance and coaching to cross-functional teams to effectively implement Agile methodologies. Support teams in adopting Agile practices, including backlog management, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address organizational impediments to Agile adoption. Work closely with leaders and teams to resolve challenges that hinder Agile implementation and process improvement.
  • Monitoring and evaluating team performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
