A Building Information Modeling (BIM) manager oversees BIM engineers and coordinators, working directly with the project team in developing and updating a 3D model throughout the project's life cycle. When converting building specifications to a 3D model, a BIM manager must detect and identify any challenges before they become an issue; they participate in problem solving efforts for the projects through the use of BIM applications.The BIM manager must make sure all elements of the model are in accordance with the BIM project execution plan, including project set-up and development. They communicate with various departments and managers on how to implement any changes or customization, providing leadership and oversight for the flow of data with designers, contractors, and various other personnel.
