They ensure that the operating systems, hardware, and software systems are in line with the guidelines of the business. This job involves working alongside IT (IT) experts in working in the development of technological requirements and needs. Business system administrators also work with the business team to ensure that organizational goals are achieved efficiently and in a timely way.

The primary responsibilities of this position include daily monitoring and security-related tasks in order to stop and identify any intrusions into the system. They also are in charge of performing daily backups to ensure the safety of data, executing regular upgrades to the system and documenting the installation of systems, and completing regular purges and archival of files when required.
