Security analysts who are aspiring to become security analysts must have experience in cybersecurity and be able to thrive in a rapid-paced changing work environment as security analysts are required to ensure the integrity of corporate networks and identify and swiftly solve network issues as they occur. They must be familiar with risk management and business risk policies and knowledgeable of data security practices, including encryption/decryption and management, and they may be called upon to recommend changes in procedures and policies. Communication skills that are strong as well as the capacity to communicate with a variety of levels of management as well as associate-level employees are essential.

A bachelor's or higher degree and at minimum one year of relevant experience in electrical or computer science engineering is typically required for this job, and a working knowledge and experience working with Windowsas well as Linux-based systems is required.
