Assistant brand managers are responsible for all aspects of the marketing and branding of a product, line, and/or company. These responsibilities include a wide variety of activities, from wide-scope strategic planning of advertising campaigns to the day-to-day management of marketing activities. Assistant brand managers are generally required to hold a bachelor’s degree, usually in marketing or a related field. A master’s of business administration (MBA) is often desired, although assistant brand managers may be encouraged to seek this degree while employed. In lieu of an MBA, two or more years of experience in marketing or a related field is required in most cases.
