Development officers are responsible for the management of donor and funding actions for their organizations. They manage fundraising efforts and gather current and potential donor data. They establish professional connections with foundations, individuals and other organizations They also provide ongoing assistance to marketing initiatives of companies.
The majority of the time development officers have to use research databases to identify potential donors; they record every donation and evaluate the revenues.
