Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha was established under the Government of Maharashtra. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). DMIMS received the status of Deemed to be University on May 24, 2005. The institute is spread over an area of 125 acres offering various academic and infrastructural facilities to the students including an auditorium, hostels, guest house, food court, library, computer hub, stationery stores, shopping complex etc. DMIMS DU, Wardha has also formed various clubs to provide a platform to students to hone their skills and encourage them to participate in various extracurricular activities. As per the NIRF ranking 2021, the institute has been ranked 19th while according to the NIRF ranking 2020, the varsity has got 14th rank in the dental category. Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha has secured 34th rank in the medical category and 61st rank in the university category in NIRF 2021 Rankings. The institute has been ranked 100th in the overall category in the NIRF rankings of 2021.
