The ICFAI University is a private deemed to be university established in 2003, under the ICFAI University Act 2003. It is commonly known as ICFAI Dehradun. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act. ICFAI Dehradun is a Member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, London and a Member of the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. ICFAI Dehradun is accredited by NAAC with an 'C' grade. The campus of the varsity is spread over an area of 25 acres. The faculty strength of the university is 65.
ICFAI Dehradun offers various courses in the field of management, finance, banking, insurance, accounting, law, information technology, arts, commerce, education and science & technology. A few of the courses offered by the university are B.Ed., B.Sc. and B.Ed. Upper Primary to Secondary, Ph.D. Education etc. The varsity considered marks obtained in the last qualifying examination for admission to UG and PG courses. For Ph.D admission, candidates must obtain a valid score in GATE/NET/SLET. The university courses are offered to students in full-time and distance learning formats.
