Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET), Coimbatore has been a pioneer in the field of education for more than two decades. SKCET is an autonomous college that is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It was established in the year 1998 with a mission of imparting quality education and producing highly skilled engineers with a sense of responsibility and ethical values. The campus is spread over an area of nearly 46 acres. Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore is the only academic institution in the southern part of India that provides B.tech courses in Computer Science and Business Systems in association with the TATA Consultancy Services Limited. According to NIRF Rankings 2021, Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology has been ranked 78th among engineering institutions with an overall score of 41.29. The college was ranked 83rd in the engineering category by NIRF in 2020.
With a set of over 350 excellent faculty members, SKCET Coimbatore aims to provide a well crafted academic environment to its students. The institute covers several departments of engineering such as civil, mechanical, mechatronics, computer science, artificial intelligence and data science, electrical and electronics, information technology, applied electronics, communication systems, engineering design, power electronics and drives, and electronics and communication. Along with engineering programmes, Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore also offers programmes such as MBA, MCA, and humanities. SKCET Coimbatore has also been chosen by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, as a host for events such as “Smart India Hackathon” for three years in a row. The institute is situated in the east of Sugunapuram, Pudur, near Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The campus is approximately 10 kilometres away from Palakkad-Coimbatore national highway. The distance between the college and Coimbatore International Airport is 20 kilometres. The Madukkarai railway station is at a distance of 6 kilometres from the college and the TNSTC bus stand is 10 kilometres away from the Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore. Students can travel by a bus or cab to reach the institution.
