Process improvement specialists are responsible of identifying and implementing procedures for their organizations employing engineering methods. They are responsible for tasks related to manufacturing design, production and construction. one of their primary tasks is to collaborate with other engineers in identifying problems with efficiency and quality in the manufacturing process. Process improvement engineers are also involved in meetings and make suggestions regarding changes that can improve the efficiency of production and improve quality. They implement process improvement procedures and conduct root cause analysis, and write detailed reports on improvements problems.

They must conduct periodic reviews of quality assurance and ensure that they are in compliance with company and industry standards for all their tasks.
