Description

Program planners are responsible for making plans, preparing and releasing production requirements and modifications, as well as analyze and coordinate the requirements of programs to ensure that the materials and services are able to meet customer requirements. They can also be involved in supply chain, manufacturing engineering, management of programs and report on the status of work in progress as well as material availability and production issues to other employees. They also create purchase orders and work orders for parts or components in accordance with the inventory requirements.

A minimum of four years' experience in manufacturing or production control which includes the creation and execution of purchasing plans to meet contractual demands as well as schedules are typically required for this job. candidates should also be familiar working with MRP, SAP, and cost-versus-risk analyses of different manufacturing techniques.
