They are also responsible in determining efficient strategies for the deployment of software and technology, evaluating the performance of hardware and software before introduction to management, and coordinating schedules and deployment contracts.

Directors build solid business relations with vendors in order to get lower prices and save resources. They must also be able to work in a team working environment with other supervisors and managers to achieve targets within the timeframes set. Their primary responsibilities could include the distribution of budgets and presenting their performance to supervisors or vice president within their company. They should have the capabilities to communicate information concepts and explain technological processes in depth and facilitate the interactions with IT professionals customers, vendors, and employees. They could also be charged with identifying innovative solutions to workplace conflicts employing Microsoft Office programs, troubleshooting software, and managing various operating systems.
